Mary Berry managed to discover this family Italian deli in 2020 for the BBC – only 40 years after it first opened. It is an institution, a doyenne along the many facets of Brecknock road. Saturdays is hand rolled ravioli, their own sausages, and for local legend sandwiches.

There is a good spread of pricing for all comers from very good wines but also some under £6 and spectacular colourful Dolce & Gabbana tins for the panattone.
