PRIMO at Primrose has a certain alliteration, quietly tucked modestly into the main parade by the occulist, the sushi bar and the long standing (40 years) cavernous and popular Greek Lemonia . Primrose Hill still can pride itself on the independence of its shopkeepers even if most of the older residents have long since sold up. The Aegean blue frontage gives way to a long thin corridor and to a kitchen that produces a few very good fresh dishes like lasagne or quiche with ricotta to take away. But also it has one of the best selections of dried and imported pastas including… Molisana, Benedetto Cavalieri and Votello. They have even got Sardinian fregola. Family owned and run. Good red wines too.
