Of all the Asian grocers, little Poons, once reputed for their wind dried foods in the Chinatown restaurants, has an edge. Of course it is designer, packaged, and relatively expensive but it is distinct, lasts a while and is a bit of a joy. As hampers go this one even got an award from the Daily Telegraph. It is first extract soy sauce, it is ‘Extraordinary’ Chilli Oil, it is WO, it is red vinegar. The hamper also includes three variation on their legendary wind dried sausage, rice and noodles and even some postcards. Price is £70. For £20 less you can have the elegant tote bag and four sauces.
