The Filipino bakery is on the road less travelled between the tourisma of Camden Market and the main high street of Kentish Town. And now a new branch round from Selfridges. The baking is a wonderful alternative of macadamia cheesecake or even pistachio pandesal. The salt beef sando has picked up reviews on its own – spiced with calamanso ketchup, garlic aioli, crisp onions and lettuce, at the top end of the pricing at £12. The all day menu starts with an egg sando at £5.50. Breakfast until 12, a meal deal might include prawn crackers. The ice tea is peach, lemon mango and honey. Coffee is roasted by wholesalers Catalyst (who have their own coffee shop in High Holborn) and, more conventionally there are fine doughnuts some decorated with purple yam. A Pandesal dunk is literally black coffee with the soft salt, sweet bread, a family tradition, but the loaves are also adptable and can come with ice cream. The brown sugar boba taho is silk tofu with caramelised brown sugar syrup and sago pearls. And there is a recipe for pandesal here.
