One of the older Italian delicatessens, first opened in 1961 and almost closed in the pandemic but was saved by an online petition but a lack of traction has sadly seen the shop close finally in August 2024. Not enough locals left in Soho to support it. But online it survives for its parent importer of selected Italian produce – Alivini, founded in 1975. If you know your Italian, there are some really rare and good things to be found here. There are cheeses from Sardinia, Villani cured meats, noted hand picked wines especially the pinot grigio and the brunello. There are comprehensive selections of rices and faro and also preserved tunas. A stalwart selection. Free delivery on orders of £80 plus.
