Balham was a B-word for B movie geography, the gateway south as it used to be, now the big B here is Brindisa importer of the most excellent things Spanish. Brindis means to raise a glass. Started by Monika Liton in 1988 when Spanish food in London was a chorizo or two short of a paella. Now ham, cheese, larder goods, wines and items and half a dozen iconic tapas bar around town which are here. There are supper clubs for parties or grab a carton of gazpacho to go home (which also makes an interesting bloody mary). Free delivery over £60.
