It is like someone might have wanted to take a core sample of all the different kinds of businesses that might survive a blighted high street which is the cut through of Brecknock road these days. Answer: a bakery with caffe. Excellent bread is also paired with eco and vegan options in the caffe next door, which also does set diners on Saturdys and monthly pies. The bicycles are really for trade. Heroic little place. Andy Strang trained as a physcist before managing to crowd fund enough – not a great deal considering at £13.5 – to secure this building. Like Kossoff’s down the road in Kentish Town and Karma in South End Green, an excellent source of the kind of breads not seen in the city for many years and much appreciated.
