Alma was set up by Graison Gill, a James Beard noted baker and teacher, previously at the much respected Bellegrade Bakery in New Orleans a welcome addition to Bermondsey. He has now moved on but left his granite millstones imported from Vermont. It is owned by Natoora, the Italian vegetable specialist. It is open weekend mornings as part of gthe Maltby street graze for direct sales. Interesting breads and some more confectionary grab-and-go style tarts.
