Treestone started as a job in Smithfield market and has grown into a centre of Korean butchery excellence spreading from New Malden as far as Greenwich and Golders Green with free delivery over £100. Each shop has a very cute down home Korean YouTube introduction. There is some superior knife work at foot here and the prices are competitive across 40 cuts of bbq meats including Wagyu and Iberico black pig, 15 variations for shabu shabu and all things Korean for back up like dried anchovies. The name comes from this poem: “It stands on a high rocky mountain, like a tree. A tree that goes its way silently without giving up; Even in extremely or difficult circumstances”.
