Kentish Town has become quite a little oasis of good food shops. This is one of the best. Aaron’s family have been running bakeries in the east end since 1920. He trained at the Ivy, Little Bread Pedlar and was head baker at Ottolenghi before going out on his own. His partner Jo Clarke is also a pastry chef. All of which translates into a smart modern bakery behind a small, dark blue caffe. The handsome display tables are laden with some evolved variations on croissants, cookies, even a miso chive swirl. And Breton inspired Kouign amann, or butter cake croissants. Everything is made on site.
