There is rather more to tea than you might be used to in a supermarket. It is profound subject as the web site points out. Not so much a shop as a crusade. This is Stone Milk, Heirloom Silver Needle, Gong Fu. It is a family business, an obsession they admit. For the connoisseur there are also pots and strainers and there are teas that flower in the bowl. And the excellent web site is a bit like a Masters degree in tea. It is, as Don says, true tea. The Camden shop, just down from the Blues Kitchen, has a tea bar to relax and is linked to the Chinese medicine clinic which opens a dcoor on another dictionary. So one direction, medicinal, is goji berries or angelica, another is just dandelion or chamomile, all priced modestly to convert, packets from £3.95 but also there are tea cakes in sassy packaging for as much s £80 (with picks for hoiking out awkward leaves). For digestion, for detox, for weight loss, for stress, or just for enjoyment. Eye opening.
