Tiba

And this is where John Sainsbury got stated

Tiba

Queens Crescent market between Hampstead and Camden was where John Sainsbury started in 1872; also Shanta Patak in 1956. Another once well known local provisioner was Walton, Hassell & Port. As London markets go it is not a big draw. Camden Council has been spending money to make it more attractive. But one little known but excellent operation is the halal butcher Tiba which mainly supplies restaurants. The prices can be quite eye opening if you are used to going to supermarkets – a shoulder of lamb £12 kilo, neck £10, chickens £4. A rib of beef here is £20, at Waitrose it is £40 and at the Hampstead Butcher it is £60. Just saying…there is value for money and value for money. There are meat boxes at £19 and £30.
